Busy Month
It has been a busy month with travel, medical tests and
decisions. I enjoyed spending several
days with some of the family members at the lake over the 4th and am
thankful to have the health and strength that the Lord provides to continue to
travel. As usual, the fireworks at the
lake were outstanding but being with family members is absolutely the best. We don’t see each other as often now that we
are nearly twice the distance apart, but we make good use of every hour that we
have when the opportunity comes. Hopefully
I will be able to get together with other family members shortly.
It seems that my respiratory problems are taking a toll on
my heart, so at the suggestion of my pulmonologist I am now seeing a
cardiologist. My EKG left some questions
so I recently had an Echo which confirmed potential problems which has
generated an upcoming appointment with the hospital cardiologist to determine
the advisability of having an Angio which does not sound like much “fun.” As it comes to mind, please pray that the
Great Physician will give wisdom to both the medical people and myself
As I continued to read through the Psalms this morning, I
was challenged by Psalm 71 which appears to have been written by an older
person, possibly King David in his later years.
He reminds us that even in our older years, we should continue to be an
active testimony to those younger people in our circle of influence; “Since my
youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous
deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare
your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.”
(Acts 71:17-18)
I trust that each of you will have a blessed weekend!
Chuck
