Carol Wilson Update

Stage 4 Cancer brought many challenges--and also a host of loving and praying friends. Almost-daily postings to this site are to help my friends walk with me through this journey, and to express my gratitude to them and especially to God...On 7/8/08 Carol passed through that final curtain of death and is now healed. We thank God for her life and "arrival"! Chuck

Trip going well

Our cruise to Alaska is going well but fast. I just realized that we are now about midway through the two-week period with many miles and sights behind us. Today was a full day in Anchorage and tonight we sail on to Homer for tomorrow and then to Kodiak before heading back down the coast. It has been delightful revisiting some of the communities again this year along with adding some new ones. We spent one day at Tracy Arm and I went to shore by tender to visit the little village of Hoonah which is not on the beaten path and very much unspoiled by tourist traffic. As always, the cruise line feeds us far too well, and I have to be extremely careful not to over indulge with all of the wonderful food that they provide. Someone has joked about the possibility of coming on as a passenger and leaving as freight. I am certain that most of us will depart with a few extra pounds. The weather has been extremely nice with temperatures in the low 50's and rain only while we have been sailing which is no problem. That is special for this time of year.

Thanks for your love and prayers!

Chuck
